Emilia Mancini

Hello, LL&L readers!  I’m Emilia Mancini—author, journalist, video editor, mom, wife, pet owner, volunteer, and juggler of all things. Thanks so much for following our blog and keeping up with us all.

Before I get into too much of an introduction, I want to say how excited I am be here with some truly amazing writers.  The amount of talent on this board is immeasurable and I am awed to be included!

The biggest thing to tell you about me is that I’m insanely busy. I decided two years ago to go back to school full-time. I graduated in April with my a double Bachelors in Journalism and Public Relations. During my internship for a local magazine publisher, I was hired to be a freelance writer. I now write monthly segments for five local magazines and the cover story for one. I also edit for two e-publishing houses, including Musa Publishing who published my newest release, Unforgettable You under pen, Marci Boudreaux.  Marci is my sweet side. Her romances are not quite as hot and spicy, but the love is still there.

Clearly, I spend a lot of time in front of my computer! This has prompted me to add regular trips to the gym to my schedule. Those had fallen to the wayside years ago when I quit my job as a gym manager to go back to school. Now I’m dragging myself (sometimes kicking and screaming) to the gym six times a week.

I work from home so I can be with my two kiddos, ages 7 and 11, and our array of pets. That means between writing, editing, and interviewing, I am running kids around, finding ways to entertain them, and volunteering with their activities, or cleaning up after animals.

Did I mention I am just about to wrap up my first semester of grad school where I am studying to get an MS in Publishing?

So, that’s my life in a nutshell. One little crazy nutshell.
