One Hot Knight!

Hi, everyone! It’s been a hectic week. On Monday, my new paranormal romance, One Hot Knight, released with Entangled Covet. I’m in the middle of a book tour, so I’ve been all over the place the past few days. But never too busy to drop in at my favorite spot to chat. “You want me, Regina. Admit it.”

Her gaze flickered to the side as if she were planning her escape route.

“Running won’t help you.” He took another determined step forward. “I want to kiss you. Touch you. Feel what it’s like to be inside you. And you may not want to tell me, but you want me just as much as I want you.”

“Your ego never ceases to amaze me. Is this what you told all your medieval women?” The words were clearly intended to turn him away.

“This doesn’t concern them.” The palm of his hand came to rest against her smooth, warm cheek. “It’s about you and me.”

Regina held her body away from him, yet her cheek nuzzled his palm. It was a small movement, but there nonetheless.

“Aren’t you curious?” Turning his hand, he slid the backs of his fingers down the side of her face to her neck, where he softly caressed the strand of hair that fell over one shoulder. “God knows I am.”

“Yves, we can’t.”

Frustration nearly made him curse. “Why not?”

“Because…” Her eyes shuttered. “Because you’re not the man for me.”

“How do you know?”

“For one thing, you’re from a completely different century.”

“That’s not a good enough reason. Keep trying.”

A hand against his chest tried to keep him away. “You were a dog for nine centuries.”

“Emphasis on was.”

Her lips quirked upward. “Do you have an answer for every argument?”

He nodded. “Yes. I want you, Regina. Nothing you can say will convince me we’re not right for each other.”

She put her other hand on his chest as well. Her energy was a wasted effort. She was no way near strong enough to hold him back. Not that he would use force, but he would have her. And even if it took all night or even the whole two weeks, he would convince her.

“You’re cursed and you have no idea how long you’ll be in human form.” The words tumbled out of her mouth like a waterfall.

He sighed. She had him there.

“Our taxi should be here at any minute.”

“Trying to change the subject?”

“No, just stating a fact. And—I need time. There is an attraction between us. I can’t deny it, but we’ve only known each other a few days and it’s been a weird couple of days. You’re the one who wanted to go out, so let’s do this.”

Time. It was the one thing he didn’t have.
