Back on August 28th, I shared my rabid love for Jayne Ann Krentz books to the point I’d made it a goal to own all her books (and mostly have succeeded but for several that were hard to find). So, y’all already know that not only am I a romance author, but I’m also a romance reader.
BTW I did read The Hot Zone by Jayne Ann Krentz w/a Jayne Castle and loved it. I highly recommend it if you like her SFR books.
Like Parker Kincade, my fellow LL&Ler, who shared what she’s looking forward to reading — I, too, have a Wish List of upcoming books. So, I thought I’d share them.
They aren’t in any particular order, but are the books I have on my Amazon Wish List. Some are coming out this month, some aren’t out until early next year. But they all have one thing in common — I can’t wait to read them!
Hell on Heels — Robyn Peterman — Funny, irreverently good reading. Always a feel good read.
A Deadly Web (Bishop Files Novel) — Kay Hooper — an offshoot of her Bishop/SCU novels. I just finished Haunted last week. Kay is still developing the romance/attraction between Hollis and Reese. This book brought Hollis that much closer to Reese who has already shown a patience most alpha-males would not possess. I luurve Reese. Hollis does too, she just needs to heal a bit more. 🙂
Midnight Promises – Lisa Marie Rice — Midnight Angel still has to be one of my most favorite of her books. This book takes place in that world.
You Only Love Twice — Lexi Blake — Um, Lexi Blake – ’nuff said.
Deacon — Kristin Ashley — I’ve been waiting for another Unfinished Hero book and here it is — finally! Knight is still my fave.
The Unleashing — Shelly Laurenston – a new series for Shelly. I adore all her books. I have high hopes for this one.
Dead Heat (Alpha and Omega) — Patricia Briggs — CAN. NOT. WAIT. I’m not a Mercy Thompson fan, but this series is a must-read for me–and a re-read.
Dream Eyes — Jayne Ann Krentz — and of course, I want anything JAK writes.
Archangel’s Shadows – Nalini Singh — this series is so much more complex and nuanced than her other series.
Unbinding — Eileen Wilks — This is supposed to feature more of the Hellhound and his mate, who were featured in a short story and had smaller roles in one of the other Lupi novels. Yay!
All of Stephanie Laurens upcoming Cynster books and any off-shoots of them (there are several) — I highly recommend getting on her newsletter mailing list since she does a super job of letting her fans know what’s coming out and how they connect to her other books.
Anything Cherise Sinclair is working on — Note, I am one of her critique partners so I get to see things at all stages and I’m sort of prejudiced in her favor. She is a brilliant writer and her books talk to me on all sorts of levels (yes, that is the English major talking) – – but I still buy them and re-read them like the fan girl I am. Next up is a book in her paranormal world (which she has announced on her FB page will feature a bear shifter) and another 1001 Dark Nights novella (which is still in the works – so I’m not saying which world until she does).
I’m also excited to read Parker Kincade’s next book, Cowboy Redeemed. 🙂 Love me a Parker book!
And Rosanna Leo’s new Predator’s Fire is on my Kindle burning up the battery power as we speak.
And I have had the privilege, fan-girl that I am, to get an advanced review copy of the fourth Tai Randolph book by Tina Whittle, Deeper Than the Grave, (Poisoned Pen Press), which Tina will pimp on the LL&L blog in a guest appearance on November 2nd (um, rumor is there will be a give-away). Can I just say – LOVED IT! Tai and Trey’s romance is sweet and deep and gives me goosebumps.
Those should keep me busy when I am not working on my own books (Storm Warning, SSI Book 4 is in progress).
What are you looking forward to reading in the upcoming months? Share, so we can all add to our Wish Lists.
