I had to Google “quadfecta” to find out if it was a real word. Turns out, I am not the first person to coin the term.
Beer pongers beat me to it with a complicated quadfecta maneuver involving landing on the top of four cups simultaneously. However, according to the Urban Dictionary, the quadfecta’s never been done in “recorded history of the game.” If they can’t even do one, they hardly deserve credit for the word. (Imagine me thinking this in the snootiest voice possible.)
Yourdictionary.com offers that horse racing gamblers use the term for someone who correctly selects the winners of the first four racers in the correct order. I would assume someone in the history of horse gambling has managed to pull off that feat, but in my single outing to Arlington Race Track, I certainly didn’t come close.
So, let’s talk about a quadfecta that’s real and happening right now, today, this very minute, that you can be a part of. The fourth book in The Bad Boys of Regret Hollow series, the final of the four launch titles and the first book never released under any other title or by any publisher, releases today. “Sara Daniel has written a beautiful story…full of sauciness,” says reviewer Isha Coleman. So, there you have it. A beautiful, saucy quadfecta.
He’ll do whatever it takes to save her from himself.
Just once, straight-laced teacher Bethany Wilkerson wants to make love with a man who’s not a dud in bed. When she finally meets the perfect man, he turns her down. Humiliated, she studiously avoids him for months…until she’s stranded at his house during an ice storm.
Ken Hawkins might have cleaned up on the outside, but on the inside he’s still a bad boy from the ghetto who will never be good enough for Bethany. Keeping his distance is a lot easier when she’s not parading through his house wearing nothing but his sweatshirt. No matter how hard he tries to reform, he’s not a saint.
The more Ken tries to convince her of his rotten core, the more Bethany believes in his innate goodness. But until she can convince him to believe in himself, he will continue to push her out of his life.
Remember, The Bad Boy’s Gift is free, The Bad Boy’s Guilt is on sale for 99 cents for a limited time, and The Bad Boy’s Guarantee is only $2.99. There’s NEVER been a better time to visit Regret Hollow.
